When Vance Thompson Vision chose to partner with Enclave to construct their 40,000-square-foot building connected to River’s Bend Medical Center in West Fargo, the team started with a foundation of understanding and foresight to accommodate the client’s continued growth and position in the market.
Vance Thompson Vision is a renowned ophthalmology provider offering patients an unparalleled level of care and comfort through world-class doctors and advanced technology, specializing in many forms of vision surgery and treatment with a specific focus on LASIK, refractive cataract surgery, glaucoma, cornea care, and oculoplastics.
It’s why their connection to Center for Special Surgery at River’s Bend Medical Center, also built by Enclave, was a perfect fit; their team of doctors and patients have direct access to a 30,000 square foot Ambulatory Surgery Center. Together, the two facilities realize a 130,000+ square-foot medical campus housing a variety of healthcare specialties.
From the initial planning stages and coordinating the selection of the design team, to the completion of the building in February 2024, Enclave worked closely with the Vance Thompson Vision team, listening to their needs and vision to deliver a modern and technology-forward space.

Designed in collaboration with HGA Architects, the building’s exterior aligns with the client’s future-forward approach. The sleek and impressive design maximizes natural light throughout the space, with a welcoming and bright atmosphere. Inside, the new clinic features 27 exam rooms, dedicated space for conducting clinical research and multiple procedural suites with the world’s most advanced laser technology.

The project was completed ahead of schedule, in just under 18 months, with the Enclave team strategically planning for winter build activities. Upon completion in February 2024, the new facility has enabled Vance Thompson Vision to expand its services and attract top talent, positioning them for continued growth and success in the years to come.
