To celebrate The DECO’s grand opening, Enclave announced its first ever Community Builder Fund through which it has awarded $4,000 to the Southern Valley Alliance (SVA).

As part of the Community Builder Fund, Enclave invited area non-profits and community members to nominate a project or cause that would benefit the community and surrounding area for the chance to win $3,000. An additional $1,000 was made available to be awarded to the fan favorite chosen through social media.

“Our entire team is extremely proud to have joined the Shakopee community. The Community Builder Fund offered us the opportunity to engage the community and make a positive impact to those in need,” said Ben Meland, Co-Founder & CEO of Construction at Enclave. “As developers and builders, our investment in a community goes beyond the project itself, we live and work in these communities and are committed to their long-term growth and vitality. We look forward to being able to help further the mission of the Southern Valley Alliance to help victims of domestic violence.”

Southern Valley Alliance (SVA) was not only chosen by Enclave as the Community Builder Fund winner, but was also voted the fan favorite on social media. SVA is the only non-profit domestic violence agency located in Scott and Carver counties and has assisted more than 21,000 women, men and children as they try to live healthy, violence-free lives.

SVA has purchased a property in Shakopee within close proximity to the government center, courts and law enforcement to better serve the Shakopee community. The Community Builder Grant will assist SVA in their move to the area and the needed renovations on the property.

“SVA is grateful to businesses like Enclave that make an impact in their community by partnering with local nonprofits,” said Christie Larson, SVA Executive Director. “When we work together, our communities become safer, stronger, healthier places for all residents.”
